Kitchen Manager
Kitchen Manager
Lead the kitchen. Elevate the food. Grow with us.
Are you ready to step up and lead a kitchen that’s fun, creative, and fast-paced—without the chaos of a traditional line cook job? At Allegan Event, we’re looking for a hands-on Kitchen Manager to take charge of daily operations, guide a small team, and help us keep serving up great food and awesome guest experiences.
This is the perfect role for someone with a bit of kitchen or leadership experience who’s ready to grow into a bigger role. We’re not your average food service—we’re part of a one-of-a-kind indoor adventure park, and the food is part of the fun.
Why Allegan Event?
We’re not just a kitchen—we’re part of the action. Allegan Event is an indoor adventure park where families come to climb, zip, and play, and your kitchen will be a core part of the experience. You’ll get the chance to lead, create, and grow with a supportive team that values both fun and professionalism.
What You’ll Do:
Lead the daily food & beverage operation and keep things running smoothly
Prep and serve a mix of crowd favorites and creative new items (no grill or fryer—just ovens!)
Train, schedule, and support a small, tight-knit crew
Keep the kitchen organized, clean, and compliant with safety standards
Track inventory, manage supplies, and place weekly orders
Monitor food costs and report sales trends (don’t worry—we’ll train you)
Solve guest issues quickly and confidently
Collaborate with leadership on new menu ideas and food experiences
What You Bring:
1+ year of kitchen or food service leadership experience
ServSafe certification (or willing to get it ASAP)
A calm, positive presence and strong communication skills
Comfort with basic tech (POS systems, spreadsheets, Google Docs)
Organized, proactive, and reliable
Creative and flexible—even with simple kitchen equipment
A desire to take ownership and grow into a bigger leadership role
The Kitchen Setup:
Our kitchen is compact, efficient, and air-conditioned (🙌). We don’t use fryers or open flames—just ovens—so we’re looking for someone who knows how to make great food with smart systems and a little creativity.
Physical Stuff:
You’ll be on your feet and moving throughout your shift
Must be able to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
Some reaching, bending, and hands-on tasks required
Pay: $20–$22/hr
Location: Allegan Event, Allegan, MI
