Salary: $50,000–$70,000
Allegan Event is a growing family entertainment center in West Michigan featuring ropes courses, climbing attractions, arcade games, food & beverage, and expanding outdoor attractions including our Sky Tour Zip.
We are looking for a hands-on General Manager to lead our location, support team performance, and help grow the business while maintaining the highest standards of safety and guest experience.
This role is the primary on-site leader, responsible for daily operations, team leadership, revenue performance, and ensuring every attraction operates safely and efficiently.
Core Responsibilities
Safety Leadership (Top Priority)
Safety is the foundation of everything we do.
Enforce all company safety standards and operating procedures
Complete daily attraction and ride inspections
Ensure staff certifications and training requirements are maintained
Identify and report hazards immediately
Maintain a culture where safety comes before speed or convenience
Operations & Guest Experience
Oversee daily operations across attractions, arcade, food & beverage, and guest services
Serve as the primary on-site leader during operating hours
Maintain a clean, organized, and guest-ready facility
Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally
Ensure the team delivers a consistently great guest experience
Business Performance
Support initiatives that grow revenue through guest engagement, events, and promotions
Ensure birthday parties, group events, and busy weekends run smoothly
Monitor daily performance, staffing efficiency, and operational readiness
Identify opportunities to improve guest experience and repeat visits
Team Leadership
Hire, train, schedule, and lead team members
Build a positive, accountable team culture
Support staff development and consistent performance
Ensure clear communication and expectations across the team
Operational Systems
Manage schedules within labor targets
Oversee inventory counts and redemption inventory
Maintain organized supply and storage systems
Monitor operational metrics including sales, safety compliance, and guest feedback
Qualifications
- 3+ years leadership experience in family entertainment, hospitality, retail, or food service
- Track record of increasing sales or improving location performance in a hospitality, entertainment, or retail environment.
- Experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organization and leadership skills
- Business-minded with the ability to support revenue growth and operational performance
- Comfortable working hands-on while leading the team
- Experience with POS systems, scheduling systems, and basic inventory management
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be at least 21 years old with reliable transportation
- A strong safety mindset and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
Operating Schedule
- Labor Day – Memorial Day: Thursday–Sunday
- Memorial Day – Labor Day: Open 7 days per week
